Season / weather permitting Wilkesboro Dragway hosts 15 points races per season (2 points to enter; 2 points per each round won; 5 points for winning the race & 2 races may be dropped). Gates open at 2:00, qualifying at 4:00 & eliminations at 6:00, unless otherwise posted. Gear Jammer race dates; gates open at 12:00, qualifying begins at 2:00 sharp.
Season/weather permitting Wilkesboro Dragway is open each Thursday night for open Test & Tune. Admission is only $10 to run or $10 to watch (10 & under free). Gates open at 5:00.

Thousands of fans and hundreds of drivers made their way to Wilkesboro Dragway Saturday for the Inaugural Don Carlton Memorial Race.
Cars and drivers from all over the nation took time to take part in celebrating the life of one of the greatest Pro Stock drivers and pioneers of the sport along with a who's who of drivers and their machines that made the sport what it is today.
In the Top ET portion, Lonnie Plyer and his wheelstanding classic Camaro bested Frank Aldridge and his roadster. This was Plyer's first Wilkesboro Dragway win in several years.
Modified saw Neal Church and "Lil Red" win again over veteran racer and last weeks winner Darrell Powell and his mighty Chevelle. With only 2 points races left, this win gave Church a 20+ points lead and all but clinches the 2016 Wilkesboro Dragway Modified championship.
Street had a classic Ford Mustang Mach1 battle in the finals.
Two of the most beautiful Mach1's around, the 72 Mach1 of Danny Cole took the win over the 70 Mach1 of points leader and and probable 2016 Wilkesboro Dragway Street division champion Wayne Ward This was Cole's second win of the season and the third week in a row Ward finished runner up.
The WSC 4.90 outlaws saw a all Ford sort of final as well when Michael White piloting the Larry Hipps Mustang took the win over the classic Mercury Comet of Jim Cairnes.
Wilkesboro Dragway would like to thank all the fans and drivers that made this race such a success! Plans are already in the works for the 2nd annual Don Carlton Memorial Race with hopes to make it even bigger and better for 2017!
This week at NC's oldest dragway, things will start off Thursday night with the super popular Test N Tune night. For only $10 you can watch the pros or stage you car up against them or your friends! Saturday night brings a non points run for the money race, plus the Slant 6 racers will be in action both Friday and Saturday night Gates will open @ 530 on FRiday and 4pm on Saturday.
