What’s going on at Wilkesboro Dragway:
We will be running the 2019 season, with a few changes.
We will not be IHRA.
We will be running 15 points races. You will be able to drop 1 race, but if you run all 15 points races you will be awarded 10 extra points at the end of the year.
To run in the points for Top and Mod, it will be $25.00. ALL MONEY FOR POINTS AND FOR DASH FOR CASH WILL BE PUT INTO AN ACCOUNT. This will be what the winners will win at the end of the year. Phil and Pat will open the account with $1500.00. Here is how the money breaks down at the end of the year: If you are the winner, you will receive 50% of the total pot, a gold pass for the next year and the parking spot of your choice. If you finish 2nd place you will receive 20% of the pot, 3rd place will get 15%, 4th place will get 10%, 5th place will get 5%. The accounts for each class will try to be updated every week on our website.
Unlimited Street will pay $10.00 to run points and $10.00 to enter the dash for cash. The money will be put into an account. The street points winner for the season will be given the entire amount that is in the account, plus a parking place and a gold card for the next season.
Jr dragsters all will be entered into the points for the year to run for a gold card and a parking place. There is no charge for the Jr's to join the points.
DASH FOR CASH WILL BE $10.00 FOR ALL THREE CLASSES.
(KEEP IN MIND ALL THE MONEY IS GOING BACK TO THE RACERS.)
You will pay in the tower for your dash when you pay your entry fees. You will be given a sticker for that race so the track officials know who is in Dash. Please remember if you do not pay to run the dash for cash you will not be eligible to get a bye run for the entire race.
This year we will be adding a new class, the PTE (Pro Tree Eliminator) on a 4/10ths pro tree. We will only be running this class when we don’t have anything extra like 490’s or Gear jammers due to time restraints. It will be announced on facebook and the website the week before so you will know when we are doing it. The cost to run this is $30.00 and you will run for 80%. As this is a new class for us, please bear in mind we know we will have bugs to work out.
What it will cost to run for 2019:
Top will cost $60.00 to run ($10.00 at the gate, $40.00 in the tower and then add $10.00 on if running dash for cash for a total of $60.00 ($50.00 if not running dash)). Buy backs are $40.00, and you may only buy back one time: 1st, 2nd, or 3rd round.

You will have 5 Minutes after final call. If you are not in staging lanes before the 5 minutes is up you will be disqualified from that round.
Concessions will now have set times that they will be operating during. The times will be posted on each door.
There are some new and exciting things coming up in 2019. One thing is the Carolina Street Car Series. In March we will host the No Prep No Excuses race, in late May we will host JJ DaBoss from Memphis Street Outlaws, for JJ’s Arm Drop. Also we will be doing some fun days for daily drivers and golf carts to lighten the mood.
THE MAIN THING IS TO HAVE FUN.
We will also be bringing back the Ebenezer back to school kids bike Race and School supplies drive, along with the Ebenezer Christmas Drive. If you missed out on the Christmas at Ebenezer I can assure you it was as big as a Christmas Blessing for us that did go as it was for the kids. So please try to plan to go with us this year.
IF YOU HAVE RESERVED PARKING PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU WILL NOT MAKE A RACE SO WE CAN LET SOMEONE ELSE PARK IN THE SPOTS WHEN YOU ARE NOT THERE.
AND FOR THE J.J.'S ARM DROP PLEASE MOVE ALL TRAILERS AND CARS TO THE TOP NEXT TO THE ET BOOTH. WE WILL NEED THE PARKING.

Points Season Opens For Wilkesboro Dragway
On a brand new racing surface, the 2019 Wilkesboro Dragway points season opened with a bang!
With a big field of cars an drivers the topic of the day was wow and smooth.
During the off season the racing surface was totally redone from start to finish.
Hall of Fame racer Ken Ragenthal said it the best, "This place is the fastest and smoothest it has ever been"!
The Top ET division came down to 2 former track champions. Tim Church and his Camaro took the win when Jay Reins went to fast and broke out of his index.
In Modified ET it seems nothing can stop reining 3 time champion Neal Church.
Church and his bad fast Pontiac Grand Am used a holeshot to take the victory over Ben Denton and his Chevy Luv.
Other winners of the evening were Keith Atchison in Street , Mason Smith in Jr. Dragster, and Pete Wright took the win in the Classic Gear Jammers.
This Week at Wilkes County's home of Family fun and speed, 3 days of action are on tap. First up the ever popular Thursday night Test N Tune.
For only $10 you can stage your car against the pros or see if you have what it takes to be a racer.Gates open @ 530pm
Friday night is reserved for testing for drag cars only, Gates will also open at 530pm.
Saturday the gates open at 2pm for the second points race of the year in all divisions along with the bad boys of speed, The 4.90 Outlaws.
